Stearic Acid (1842)

Stearic acid, white or light yellow white solid, soluble in alcohol and acetone, soluble in ether, chloroform, benzene, carbon tetrachloride, carbon disulfide, amyl acetate and toluene, melting point 69.6℃, is one of the main components of oil.

Stearic acid is widely used in cosmetics, stabilizers, surfactants, and other organic chemicals. Stearic acid can also be used as solvent of oil-soluble pigments, crayon smoothing agent, wax paper polishing agent, emulsifier of stearic acid glycerin and so on.
